Kristina’s Why
I’m a proud mum of two (one daughter featured here), an experienced primary school teacher, and trained kids yoga teacher. I truly understand the incredible benefits that yoga and mindfulness practices can bring to our daily lives and classrooms. I’m embarking on this journey to uncover opportunities to support children (as well as my own kids) to learn how to mindfully pause and live life within this crazy beautiful world.
As a classroom teacher, I have personally experienced the immense pressures and heavy workload that educators face. I’ve also witnessed children struggling with frustration and meltdowns, often lacking the strategies to self-regulate and problem-solve. This is where I believe yoga and mindfulness can make a profound difference. I want to share my own skills, knowledge, experience and tools that can make a positive impact to other’s lives, especially our little ones.
If children regularly practiced yoga and mindfulness in schools and experienced deeper breaths, mindful movement, an attitude of gratitude, as well as moments of rest, this could empower them to feel and live more calmly, compassionately, confidently and courageously. This work is invaluable - it has the power to transform lives!
